This jogger has been designed with safety, style and convenience as its main goals. It comes with an adult tray with two cup holders and covered storage, and an infant tray that swings away and has two cup holders. The adjustable canopy, with its peek-aboo windows and an extra-wide ergonomically-shaped handle, provide comfort for both parents. The lockable front swivel wheel on the front can be locked for jogging and unlocked to stroll. The large storage basket can hold essential travel necessities.
Consumer Reports' Strollers test program indicates that the Baby Trend Expedition Jogger is a good value for its cost and is better than its competition across a variety of categories. The 5-point harness that folds, unfolds and adjusting backrests, engaging wheel brakes, and infant car seat installation and removal (only compatible models) are all included. It is designed with an easy recline with one hand, which is deep enough for napping. The canopy cover that has an adjustable ratcheting isn't easy to use. It also takes almost 8 minutes to put it up and the directions are confusing due to multiple languages mixed together and difficult-to-read illustrations.
The only drawback to this jogger is the absence of suspension. This means that the ride may be more bumpy than other strollers that are all-terrain. This can be difficult for children with small hands, especially when their nap is set to begin. The air-filled wheels are nice but they don't provide the same amount of cushioning as rubber tires that are found on strollers that are more expensive.
This is a great option for those who don't run frequently but would like to move freely over gravel or grass without having to worry about obstacles like curbs or other obstructions. It's also a great option for families with limited space as it folds down into a compact size.
